Secret Stash Records is sad to announce Shuga Records' decision to move their business back to its original location; Chicago, Illinois. Adam and the rest of the staff will be dearly missed, as their impact to the local music scene and the Northeast Neighborhood was nothing but positive. We here at Secret Stash were very pleased to do business with them and hope they prosper accordingly in their new home. The store will officially close its doors on December 11th, but will still accommodate customers looking to sell records or pick up mail orders. In addition, they will be having an "everything must go" sale in order to lighten their inventory before the move starting in January. After 7 years in Minnesota, the most recent 3 here in Northeast Minneapolis, we have decided to move the store back to it’s birthplace, Chicago. We recently had the opportunity to relocate presented to us, and based off the growing needs of our Online Mail Order operations, now is the perfect time for us to expand into a larger market. Stay tuned for more information on where in Chicago we will be located.
We want to thank all the customers, friends, businesses, and musicians that have helped to support us over the years here. We are extremely proud of the events we brought (or helped bring) to Northeast, including Hooliefest, Minneapolis Electronic Music Festival, The Audio Perm Block Party (we see you waggin’), The Northeast Folk Festival, plus hundreds of other musicians and artists during in-store performances, etc.
If you have records to sell, or purchases to pick up, we will still be here working in back, so just give us a call at (612) 455-6285 to schedule an appointment. Starting January 7th, we will be opening the storefront every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month (possibly more) for massive sales to clear out inventory and other items that we don’t want to move to Chicago. This will include TONS of Vinyl, Cassettes, CD’s, Electronics, Furniture, you name it.
